Linda Shampan learnt the Buteyko method from Alexander Stalmatski in 1999 having lived with asthma for fifty years. She found this greatly improved her health and symptom control and dramatically reduced the need for medication - she was inspired to train as a Buteyko teacher and has taught adults and children, including children with special needs. Formerly a qualified nurse working in palliative care, Linda is a UKCP Registered psychotherapist, and a qualified Buteyko teacher. She currently runs a free counselling service for Ealing Mencap, and offers Buteyko teaching in this service; she also has a private practice in West London.
